Masuda Funai is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to work in a hybrid role based out of our Schaumburg office. You will assist the attorneys in more advanced aspects of business immigration including form preparation, document assembly, file management and drafting letters.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of immigration legal forms, including non-immigrant and immigrant applications and petitions, for review and approval by assigned attorneys for a high-volume immigration practice
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues identified by clients and attorneys
  • Prepare immigration legal forms using immigration legal software and letters using Microsoft Word and forward to clients for signature and processing after approval by assigned attorneys
  • Assist attorneys in determining eligibility for benefits on assigned cases by analyzing questionnaires, supporting documents, and other information provided by client
  • Recommend process improvements to Team to ensure most efficient processing within the group

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any major or Paralegal Certificate
  • 4-6 years of work experience processing H-1B petitions, PERM applications, and AOS applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organization, document management and prioritization skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is based upon various factors including the individual's experience, skills, and qualifications. An estimate of the salary range for individuals working a hybrid schedule in our Schaumburg office is: $65,000 to $71,000.
